These mics sound fantastic, one of the best 251's being made today, handmade by Upton in Florida USA. We had the pleasure of visiting Upton's manufacturing facility in person and saw the attention to detail, skill and craft it takes to put one of these mics together from start to finish, and it's stunning the amount of work that goes into one of these!

The Upton 251 microphone is a condenser microphone based on the classic Telefunken Ela M 251 which was produced by AKG from around 1960 to 1965.
