Fender Showman 1966 + 1x15 Tone Ring Cab
For sale is a rare vintage Fender Showman head from 1966 with a 1x15 Tone Ring cabinet and D140F speaker. It's in good shape for it's age and fully functional. Sounds excellent. It’s been recapped and had some resistors replaced as well. All the blue, yellow and one black caps are new and the white resistors as well. Transformers look to be original but not 100% sure. Please take a look at the internal photos to verify any information.

Transformer code numbers
125A29A, 606551
125C1A, 606-6-02
125P34A, 606601

The cab measures 8 ohms. However, according to the output transformer code (125A29A), the amp head has a 4 ohm output impedance. An 8 ohm transformer would have a 125A30A transformer code. Usually Showmans are 8 ohms and Dual Showmans are 4 ohms. This amp is essentially a Dual Showman with a regular Showman amp faceplate, as was apparently commonly done at the time, and the way to tell the difference is the transformer code. The 4ohm amp head works just fine with the 8 ohm cab (as opposed to a dual 1x15 cab, this one being a single speaker 1x15 cab).
